MU Extension Business/Farm Tax School (Session 6 of 6)

| Description: |
University of Missouri Extension is offering tax schools at 6 sites for preparers of income tax returns. These schools will deal with a broad range of tax issues with an emphasis on business/farm taxation. These schools will be taught by Mike Hardin, Ph.D., Enrolled Agent, and Retired Professor of Agricultural Economics, Oklahoma State University; Parman Green, MU Extension Ag Business Specialist; and Catherine Murphy, Stakeholder Liaison & Area Disaster Coordinator, Internal Revenue Service. The primary topics that will be discussed are: What’s New - Rulings and Cases; Agricultural Issues; IRS Issues; Individual & Business Issues; New Tax Legislation; and Business Entities.
The Tax School is designed to fit the guidelines for Continuing Education Credits for accountants and attorneys. Each participant will receive a copy of the 2008 National Income Tax Workbook developed by the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation.

The fee is $125 per person ($134 at St. Joseph) and pre-registration is required. A $10 late registration fee will be added if registration is postmarked after October 17th. Lunch will be on your own except at St. Joseph where the lunch will be provided.
